Radisson Blu Media Harbour Hotel, Dusseldorf

The reception area - entrance, bar & fireplace seating were lovely - very stylish, decadent & welcoming. Staff were friendly & helpful, particularly at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! Fruit, full cooked breakfast, cheese&hams, bottles of smoothies & tea/coffee/juice. Also ate evening meal at the Italian restaurant which was delicious.

Bathrooms!! I'm not a prude but shared with a colleague & there is clear glass facing out from the shower to the bedroom - plus a mirror that reflects all so you get a 360degree naked view! We certainly got to know each other better!

The hotel is well situated in the media harbour area of Dusseldorf although has no direct views of the harbour or river. It was very clean and modern and the staff were very efficient. The room was very comfortable as would be expected from a Radisson and we were not disappointed with the interior design features they were very special.

Breakfast was not included in the room rate and at 25euros per person was very expensive as was tea and coffee at 5 euros for a cup. A glass of wine was expensive and very small.

I took a look at the sauna and gym. They are both rather small and disappointing, not spa like. I also went running on one of the hotel recommended routes (harbor run). The receptionist could not give me a good description of the path and I could actually not find the trail. Took me through some suspicious, industrial areas. Not good for a female.

Room, well designed, comfortable, practical. Appreciated the water, fruit, Tea, coffee, AIRY and spacious with the glass partition. Fantastic breakfast and well organised. ALL STAFF WE FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL

All the restaurants were full around the hotel area so we came to the hotel around 10pm, no one was eating in the restaurant although the restaurant was still open. We thought the prices were high. This is only a comment and not a complaint

Design, location, free internet, friendlyness of staff, all top.

Fish soup was really bad tasting ( tasted like water with some fish in ) , just as the risotto ( was more normal rice ) , but the rindfilet was exceptional good tasting. A menu card on a copied paper is not fitting for such a level of hotel. The former menu card that had some more flexible choices was better ( ex. different type of pasta... ) . We had on the room an airco we could not disable, what gave all the night a noise in the room.

The location of the hotel is close to the river and the shopping areas.

Room 502 was right below the very small gym without free weights, so we heard the treadmills and tv during the times it was open. The shower head only had about 1/3 of the spray nozzles working, something we reported to the staff upon departure. Curtains needed to be kept shut due to the view being directly across from other guests rooms. The first night we had inquired about the restaurant and were quietly told that the restaurant was closed and taped off. We assumed it was an unexpected closure and ate somewhere else.

Beautiful trendy designed hotel, excellent location (plenty of bars and good restaurants around the corner). Large and comfortable rooms equipped with free wifi. Very professional and friendly staff. Definitely my choice of hotel in Dusseldorf.

Exellent placed hotell in walking distance from the lively town centre, the "altstadt" and where it all happens. Never the less, this area has a lot to offer regarding restaurants, bars, pubs, coffeeshops and seaside and it is a nice calmer "city in the city - so to speak! A really nice clean hotell with stylish design, big stylish superior rooms with some funny solutions!

The price of the breakfast! €24 pr day pr person.....they should be ashamed! Say at least yes to the offer of champaign - if it is for free.... Or walk some meters to the lokal bakery and buy your breakfast for €4. The breakfast costs ended to be 1/3 of our total stay costs... That is crazy....
